Washington County Teen Nicole Bennett Tragically Found Dead After Missing Overnight

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — The Washington County community is mourning the tragic loss of Nicole Bennett, 19, who was found dead on Wednesday morning after being reported missing the night before.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Bennett was reported missing at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, after her car was seen at a Red Cliffs Recreation Area trailhead. Search and rescue crews combed the area until 4:30 a.m. Wednesday but found no sign of her. The search was paused overnight due to lighting conditions and the size of the search area, and resumed at 7 a.m.

Shortly after 7 a.m., authorities received a call that Bennett’s body had been located. While the cause of her death has not been released and investigators have not indicated if foul play is suspected, the incident is being actively investigated by deputies and law enforcement on scene.

Nicole Bennett is remembered by family, friends, and the community as a bright young woman whose life was tragically cut short. Her sudden passing has left loved ones devastated, and the community continues to keep her family in their thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public to give the family privacy and allow emergency responders to continue their work at the site. Nicole’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
