NEW YORK — A 34-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning inside a building on Jamaica Avenue in Queens, according to the NYPD.
Police say officers responded around 1:46 a.m. to a 911 call reporting an assault at 184-15 Jamaica Avenue, within the jurisdiction of the 103rd Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to the stomach and left shoulder.
The victim, identified as Denis Nunez, 34, of 106-18 155th Street in Queens, was transported by emergency medical services to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made at this time, and police have not released information regarding any suspect or motive. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
