CAMILLA, Ga. — The Camilla community is grieving the tragic loss of Tobias McIntyre, 33, who was found shot and deceased in Pelham, Georgia, on Sunday afternoon, January 18, 2026.
According to authorities, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist Pelham Police around 1:45 p.m. after two men were discovered shot and unresponsive in close proximity to one another. Tobias McIntyre and another victim, Desmond Daniels, were found near the areas of 290 Castleberry Street NW and 170 Cannon Street NW. Investigators believe the two men were together in a vehicle at the time the incident occurred. Tobias was located in or near the vehicle recovered at the scene.
Emergency responders pronounced both men deceased. Their deaths are being investigated as a homicide. Tobias will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause and manner of death. Evidence collected from the scene is also being analyzed as investigators continue to follow leads and interview witnesses.
