BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — The Buncombe County community is mourning the loss of Rubilio Mendez Reynoso, a 31-year-old man who was found dead early Sunday morning amid severe winter weather conditions.
According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Reynoso was discovered just after 8 a.m. Sunday lying along the roadside in the 400 block of New Leicester Highway. Deputies responded to the scene and confirmed his death.
Detectives are actively investigating to determine whether Reynoso’s death was weather-related. Authorities stated that no foul play is suspected at this time, though the investigation remains ongoing.
