TWIN CITY, Ga. — The Twin City community is mourning the tragic loss of LaCorey White, 35, who was fatally shot Monday morning during a family dispute at a residence in the city.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the incident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. on January 26 at a home in the 400 block of 2nd Street in Twin City, Emanuel County. Investigators said an argument between brothers escalated, resulting in LaCorey White being shot.
LaCorey White, a resident of Twin City, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted by the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office in Pooler to determine the official cause and manner of death.
The GBI reported that LaMarkius Tiwaun White, 44, of Vidalia, was arrested and charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony in connection with his brother’s death. He was booked into the Emanuel County Jail.
This heartbreaking incident has left family members, friends, and the Twin City community grieving a life lost too soon. Loved ones are remembering LaCorey White as the investigation into his death continues.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Once completed, the case file will be submitted to the Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
