In Loving Memory of Tremaine Jones

SHREVEPORT, La. — The Shreveport community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Tremaine Jones, 33, who was killed in a tragic rollover crash early Friday morning, January 30, 2026.

According to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office, Tremaine lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 West at the Lakeshore Drive and Linwood Avenue (Exit 17A) off-ramp around 2:29 a.m. He was driving a light blue Chevy Blazer and was on his way home from a local casino when his vehicle encountered a patch of ice still covering part of the ramp.

Police say the icy conditions caused Tremaine’s vehicle to leave the roadway, overturn, and violently strike a large concrete bridge column. Shreveport Police and Fire Department crews responded swiftly. Firefighters used the jaws of life to free him from the wreckage, but despite their efforts, Tremaine was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was confirmed through personal identification, and standard toxicology testing was ordered.

This devastating crash marks the fourth fatal traffic accident in Shreveport in 2026, serving as a somber reminder of how dangerous winter road conditions can be.

Tremaine’s sudden passing has left family, friends, and loved ones grieving a life taken far too soon. He is remembered not just for the way he died, but for the life he lived and the people who loved him deeply. As the investigation continues, the community is asked to keep Tremaine’s family in their thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

May Tremaine Jones rest in peace, and may comfort and strength surround all who mourn his loss.
