Extremely Dangerous’ Suspect at Large After Fatal Perry Convenience Store Shooting, Police Say

PERRY, Fla. — The Perry Police Department (PPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at a Perry convenience store.

Police identified the suspect as Ulysses Woodfaulk Jr., 48, who was last seen fleeing on foot from a convenience store locally known as Choo Choos Convenience following the shooting. Authorities describe Woodfaulk as armed and extremely dangerous.

According to PPD, Woodfaulk is suspected of fatally shooting Austin Shane Wilkinson and fleeing the scene with a handgun. He is wanted on charges of first-degree murder while armed and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police said Woodfaulk has a violent criminal history, which includes prior escapes, battery on law enforcement, and multiple weapons-related charges. Due to his background and the nature of the incident, officers are urging the public not to approach him if he is spotted.
