St. Cloud Police Investigate Suspected Homicide After Woman Found Dead, Husband Injured

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — St. Cloud police are investigating a suspected homicide after a woman was found deceased and a man was discovered with life-threatening injuries inside a locked apartment Saturday night.

Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Hallie Marie Tobler of St. Cloud, who died as a result of multiple stab wounds. Authorities also identified the injured man as 23-year-old Dylan Michael Tobler, Hallie’s husband.

Officers were dispatched around 8:20 p.m. to a reported medical emergency in the 3100 block of 40th Avenue South. Upon arrival, law enforcement found Hallie deceased inside the apartment and Dylan nearby suffering from serious injuries.

According to investigators, Dylan’s injuries are believed to be self-inflicted. He was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment and is expected to be booked into Stearns County Jail on suspicion of charges related to the homicide once medically cleared.

Police confirmed the couple was married and that both were found inside their locked apartment. At this time, authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active.
