ST. PETERSBURG — The St. Petersburg Police Department has identified the victim of a pedestrian-involved traffic crash on 4th Street South as Larry Darnell Brown, 60, of St. Petersburg.
According to authorities, shortly after 9 p.m., Brown was crossing 4th Street South from east to west outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound white 2025 Kia K4 sedan. Emergency responders transported him to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he tragically passed away early Monday, February 9. His family has been notified.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured, remained at the scene, and cooperated fully with the ongoing investigation. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
Larry Brown’s passing is a profound loss to his family, friends, and the St. Petersburg community, and he will be remembered with love and respect.
