Pilot Identified in Deadly Caldwell Airport Airplane Crash

CALDWELL, Idaho — Authorities have identified the pilot who died in a fatal airplane crash at Caldwell Airport on Friday, February 6.

The Canyon County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as Bayne Just, 79, of Nampa. Out of respect for the family, no further personal details are being released at this time.

The incident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Officials have stated that the cause and manner of the crash have not yet been determined, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The tragic event has left the community mourning the loss of a longtime member of the Nampa and Caldwell area.
