SAN ANTONIO — A 26-year-old man was found fatally shot early Sunday morning on San Antonio’s East Side, according to police.
Officers were called around 7 a.m. to the 1600 block of Rigsby Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Jon Kross Perez, 26. Police said Perez was found toward the rear of the property and appeared to have been walking toward his vehicle at the time he was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said it is unknown what led up to the shooting, and no suspect information has been released at this time.
The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact San Antonio police.
