FARGO, N.D. — The Fargo Police Department, with support from the Metro Street Crimes Unit, arrested 21-year-old Joshua Alexander Hite on Tuesday, February 10, in connection with the disappearance of 25-year-old Isadora Wengel.
Wengel was reported missing on January 7 to the West Fargo Police Department. Since that time, law enforcement agencies have been conducting a joint investigation into her disappearance.
Based on evidence and information gathered during the investigation, authorities established probable cause to charge Hite with Murder and Tampering with Evidence. Hite was taken into custody outside his apartment without incident. At this time, no further details are being released.
A news conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, at Gateway Commons at Fargo Police Department Headquarters (105 25th St. N.) to provide an update on the investigation. The conference will be broadcast live on the City of Fargo’s access channels, TVFargo.com, and FPD social media platforms.
