26-Year-Old Man Killed in Greenville Stabbing; Woman in Custody

GREENVILLE — One person is in police custody following a fatal stabbing that occurred Tuesday afternoon, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Officers responded just before 4:30 p.m. to a reported domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Patton Circle. While officers were en route, they were advised that a stabbing had occurred at the same location.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 26-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was later identified as Qua Suggs. Despite lifesaving efforts, Suggs was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police confirmed that a woman has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the incident. Authorities stated that the victim and the suspect were known to one another, indicating the incident appears to be isolated. Officials also emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The Greenville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has assumed responsibility for the case and is continuing to gather evidence and conduct interviews. No charges have been formally announced at this time.
