Jaime Dick, 33, Fatally Shot in Dayton; Police Investigating

DAYTON, Ohio — Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of Jaime Dick, 33, which occurred early Tuesday morning on the 4700 block of Queens Avenue.

Police responded around 2 a.m. following reports of gunfire. According to a 911 call obtained by local news, a man admitted to dispatchers that he had shot his girlfriend multiple times. Officers found Dick with several gunshot wounds and transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later died.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office confirmed Dick’s identity on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man present at the scene was taken into custody. Dayton Police Lieutenant Eric Sheldon stated that the victim and suspect were in a domestic relationship.

The Dayton Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including potential motives and any additional details. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.
