In Loving Memory of Sherry Yoh

ROBESONIA, Pa. – The Robesonia community is grieving the loss of 65-year-old Sherry Yoh of North Heidelberg Township, who tragically passed away Wednesday evening after being struck while attempting to cross Route 422.

According to South Heidelberg Township police, officers responded around 6:20 p.m. to West Penn Avenue near South Brooke Street following reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Medics from Western Berks Ambulance arrived quickly to assist, but Yoh was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said Yoh had parked her vehicle on the north side of Route 422 to meet family members waiting on the south side. Witnesses reported that she successfully crossed the westbound lane before entering the eastbound lane, where she was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The driver immediately stopped and is cooperating with investigators, and several other motorists also rendered aid.

In a statement, the South Heidelberg Police Department extended their deepest condolences:

“Chief Hook briefed Robesonia Mayor Dennis Rick, who extends his heartfelt sympathy to the Yoh family during this difficult time. We also thank the Robesonia Fire Company, Western Berks EMS, and the Berks County Coroner’s Office for their assistance at the scene.”

Sherry Yoh will be remembered as a cherished member of her community, a loving family member, and a friend to many. Her warmth, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her will not be forgotten. Her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of her loved ones and serves as a somber reminder of life’s fragility.
