GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Grand Forks community is mourning the sudden and tragic loss of 34-year-old Brandon Ruth, a lifelong resident of the area, who was found dead Wednesday afternoon in the Greenway area.
Authorities say a passerby discovered Ruth unresponsive south of the railroad bridge around 2:07 p.m. and called police. Officers arrived to find him face down in the snow. Brandon was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the preliminary investigation has not revealed any obvious trauma or cause of death, and a full medical examination has yet to be completed due to cold temperatures. The exact cause of his passing remains under investigation.
