WINTHROP, Maine — Authorities have identified the man who was struck and killed by a pickup truck on Route 202 in Winthrop on Wednesday evening.
The victim has been named as 44-year-old Eric Stinson, of Pittston. According to reports, Stinson was hit by a black Dodge pickup near the Winthrop Vet Clinic on Route 202.
Following the incident, Stinson was transported to MaineGeneral, where he tragically passed away.
The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by the Maine State Police. The Monmouth Police Department and Maine State Police are assisting with the investigation, and the Kennebec-Somerset District Attorney’s Office has been notified.
