Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools confirmed that Dr. Linda Davis, a teacher at Hesse K-8 School, was killed in the February 16 collision. The crash occurred near Whitefield Avenue and Truman Parkway, close to the school campus.

The school district announced that counselors will be available throughout the week to provide support for students and staff. In a statement, Hesse K-8 said, “Dr. Linda Davis was a beloved member of our school family and her loss has affected us deeply.”
Principal Alonna McMullen shared on social media that a response plan has been put in place to assist students, staff, and families.
