Marquel Dior Echols Fatally Shot in Greensboro, Police Investigating

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon on Joseph McNeil Avenue.

According to the Greensboro Police Department, officers responded around 12:30 p.m. to the 2100 block of Joseph McNeil Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found 33-year-old Marquel Dior Echols suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is being investigated as a homicide. Authorities have not released information regarding a motive or any potential suspects at this time.
