Authorities in Tipp City, Ohio, are investigating the tragic death of 37-year-old Ashley Flynn following an apparent home invasion early Monday morning.
According to police, officers responded around 2:30 a.m. to a residence on Cunningham Court after receiving a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Flynn suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her husband and two children were inside the home at the time but were not physically injured. Investigators reported signs of forced entry, and no suspect has been identified as the investigation remains ongoing.
Flynn was a beloved substitute teacher at Tippecanoe Middle School, where she also served as the volleyball coach. She previously taught within Tipp City Schools and was affiliated with Lifewise Academy, which hosted a prayer gathering in her honor Monday afternoon.
