Authorities in Macon are investigating a deadly triple shooting that claimed the lives of three men early Sunday morning.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Moseley Avenue near Cedar Avenue around 3:35 a.m. after the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received reports of multiple people shot. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered three men suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Charleston Burnett, 25-year-old Jordan Gardner, and 26-year-old Willie Cain.
Officials said this shooting marks the third of five reported within a 24-hour period, underscoring a violent stretch in the area. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation by the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division’s Violent Crime Unit.
