Albany Teen Tragically Killed in Accident Involving Vehicle Driven by Her Sister

The Albany Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred on the evening of January 16, resulting in the death of Paige Michael Charlene McClintock, 16, of Albany.

At approximately 10:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian crash on SE 19th Avenue near SE Tudor Way. Emergency responders from the Albany Fire Department transported Paige to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center after she sustained severe injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts, she later passed away.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of the vehicle, a white 2005 Nissan Altima, was Paige’s older sister, Kirah Kristine McClintock, 18. Kirah cooperated fully with investigators, and impairment does not appear to have been a factor.

Investigators said Paige and another sibling were pushing a rolling tool chest in the roadway when the vehicle struck the toolbox and Paige. Kirah had been following her sisters in the vehicle at a slow, walking speed. The Nissan Altima has been seized under a search warrant for further analysis.

The Albany Police Department continues to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Eric Tress at 541-917-7680, referencing APD Case Number 26-00274.
