In Loving Memory of Chuck JanSki

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville community is mourning the tragic loss of Chuck JanSki, a motorcyclist who died Sunday night, January 18, 2026, following a wrong-way crash on I-640 West near the Broadway exit.

JanSki was riding his motorcycle westbound when a passenger vehicle traveling the wrong direction collided with him. Despite emergency response, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The devastating crash has left family, friends, and the community grieving his sudden and untimely death.

Authorities reported that the occupants of the vehicle initially fled the scene. The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Eric Ramon Alcantara-Guevara, was apprehended nearby and has been charged with vehicular homicide, DUI, and leaving the scene of an accident. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
