MILLER COUNTY, Mo. — The Eldon community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 35-year-old Amanda Rodgers, who was found deceased early Monday morning, Feb. 2, 2026, after being reported missing for more than a week.

According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Rodgers had last been seen on Jan. 26 after leaving the Eldon area to pick up her children in the Camdenton area but never arrived. An Endangered Person Advisory was issued Saturday as family and law enforcement worked urgently to locate her.

Authorities confirmed that Rodgers was found dead as the result of a traffic crash in a wooded area off Highway 54 in western Miller County. A Miller County Sheriff’s Office deputy discovered the vehicle while actively searching the area.

Miller County Coroner Caleb Shelton pronounced Amanda Rodgers deceased at 1:43 a.m. near Howser Road. Officials stated that no foul play or suspicious circumstances are suspected and that the incident appears consistent with an accidental crash.

Amanda Rodgers is remembered by family, friends, and the Eldon community as a beloved mother and a life taken far too soon. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Authorities extended their deepest condolences to her family during this difficult time.
