TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa community is mourning the loss of Angel Long, who was found deceased Sunday afternoon behind a home in Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
Authorities say Tulsa Fire Department crews were in the area around 2 p.m. responding to an unrelated call when a man riding a bicycle approached them and reported a body near a wooded area. First responders were directed to the location, where the woman’s body was discovered behind a vacant home.
Police later identified the deceased as Angel Long. According to investigators, members of Long’s family, who live in a nearby residence, told authorities she had been missing for several days prior to the discovery of her body.
At this time, Tulsa police say there are no signs of foul play associated with her death. The circumstances surrounding her passing remain under review, and the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death.
Angel Long’s death has left her family and those who knew her grieving a sudden and painful loss. Loved ones are remembering her as they seek answers and await the findings of the medical examiner.
