Austin Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Manor Crash Following Police Chase

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police have identified the motorcyclist who died Sunday in a crash just east of Manor as 20-year-old Javan O. Jackson.

According to the Austin Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of East Parmer Lane and Old Highway 20. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the incident followed a brief pursuit by Texas state troopers that began just after 8 p.m. on East Highway 290. The chase ended before the crash when the trooper lost sight of Jackson’s motorcycle.

No arrests have been made in connection with the crash as of Wednesday. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact APD’s vehicular homicide unit at 512-974-8411. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Capital Area Crime Stoppers.

This tragic incident marks Austin’s ninth fatal traffic crash of 2026, bringing the city’s total fatalities to nine.
