Brazil Community Mourns Sabena Corbin and Robert Dennany

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. —The Vigo County community is mourning the tragic loss of Sabena Corbin, 67, and Robert Dennany, 73, both of Brazil, who were killed in a fatal accident on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

According to the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office, the two were traveling together in the same vehicle when the accident occurred near the intersection of East U.S. Highway 40 and Tabortown Road. The crash was severe enough to require the closure of portions of the road while a fatal reconstruction team responded to the scene.

“Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with their family and friends,” said Vigo County Chief Deputy Steve Meng.
