PENDLETON COUNTY, Ky. — The Pendleton County community is mourning the tragic loss of 40-year-old Camille McClanahan, who was found deceased Sunday night, Feb. 1, 2026, at a residence on Hogg Ridge Road.
According to Kentucky State Police, deputies were asked to conduct a welfare check at the home around 11 p.m. Upon arrival, Camille McClanahan was found dead from a gunshot wound. Authorities also located 50-year-old James Hall deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound that investigators believe was self-inflicted. State police indicated the incident is believed to be a murder-suicide.
Kentucky State Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Camille McClanahan is remembered by family, friends, and those who knew her as a life taken far too soon. Her sudden passing has left loved ones and the Pendleton County community grieving an unimaginable loss.
