The community of Carville and Ascension Parish, Louisiana, is mourning the tragic loss of Craig Burns, 28, who died following an early morning motorcycle crash on Friday along Louisiana Highway 30 in Geismar.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m. Mr. Burns was riding a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, traveling eastbound on La. 30, when a 2015 Toyota Corolla attempted to turn west onto the highway from a private road and pulled directly into his path.
Investigators said the motorcycle struck the driver’s side front fender and door of the Corolla. Mr. Burns was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla was unrestrained at the time of the crash but was not injured. Authorities have not released additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
Craig Burns’ sudden passing has left family, friends, and loved ones heartbroken. He is remembered as a young man whose life was cut tragically short, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew and loved him.
