Community Mourns Abel Mwansa Jr. After Devastating Tumbler Ridge Attack

Abel Mwansa Jr. has been identified as one of the victims tragically killed in the devastating mass shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in northern British Columbia. His life was among the nine precious lives lost in a senseless act of violence that has shaken the entire nation of Canada.

The tragedy unfolded at the school in the quiet community of Tumbler Ridge, where seven victims were killed on campus and two others were later found deceased at a nearby residence. More than 25 people were injured, including two who were airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed that the suspected shooter, 17-year-old transgender Jesse Strang, was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted injury.
