Coroner Identifies Victim in Fatal Saluda County UTV Crash

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. — The Saluda County Coroner has identified the person killed in a Utility Task Vehicle crash that occurred Monday in Saluda County.

According to Saluda County Coroner Angie Rita, the victim was Natalie Long, 41, of Ward, Saluda County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened on Old Charlestown Road near Forest Hills Road. Troopers reported that a 2014 Polaris side-by-side UTV was traveling south when it veered to the right, struck an embankment, and overturned.

Officials said Long died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Saluda County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The Saluda County Coroner’s Office extended its heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mrs. Long as the community mourns her tragic passing.
