Faith Shalita Mitchell, 35, of Greensboro, Dies in Fatal Car Crash

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro community is mourning the tragic loss of Faith Shalita Mitchell, 35, of Greensboro, who was killed in a fatal car crash on Thursday night. The collision occurred around 11:50 p.m. near the intersection of Summit Avenue and Helen Road.

According to Greensboro police, Mitchell was driving a northbound Honda Civic when her vehicle crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound Toyota Highlander. The impact caused Mitchell’s car to veer off the road and strike a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that neither weather nor road conditions appear to have contributed to the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
