TAYLOR, Mich. — An 11-year-old boy who was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Taylor has been identified by his family as Jacob Robinson.
The crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Eureka Road and Inkster Road. According to family members, Jacob had walked to a nearby store to get snacks when the tragic incident happened.
Authorities say Jacob ran across the roadway and was struck by a passing vehicle. Emergency crews responded quickly and transported him to a nearby hospital while performing CPR. Despite life-saving efforts, Jacob later died from his injuries.
Police confirmed that the driver involved stopped at the scene and is cooperating fully with investigators. The incident remains under investigation.
Jacob’s sudden passing has left his family, friends, and community heartbroken. Loved ones describe him as a bright young boy whose life was cut far too short.
