HAMILTON COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of 36-year-old Wendy Ann Lowery of Panama City Beach, Florida, early Saturday morning.
According to DPS, the crash occurred around 12:46 a.m. on FM 1241 south of County Road 401. Lowery was driving a Lexus ES300 when her vehicle crossed out of its lane, went off the roadway into a drainage ditch, struck a fence, and rolled over. She was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are examining all factors to determine why Lowery’s vehicle left the road.
Family members have been notified. DPS urges anyone with information related to the crash to contact the department.
