A tragic shooting in the Scotia area of Hardeeville has claimed the life of a 31-year-old man, authorities confirmed.
On February 21, 2026, deputies with the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting on Granthill Road. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Geordi Pringle, 31, of Hardeeville, South Carolina. The Hampton County Coroner’s Office has notified his family.
Authorities confirmed that one individual has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Formal charges are pending, and the individual’s name will be released once those charges have been officially filed.
