JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. — The Washington County community is grieving the sudden loss of two men found dead Wednesday, February 4, 2026, inside a residence near Fall Branch.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, the victims have been identified as 37-year-old Cody Snodgrass of Fall Branch and 25-year-old James Roberts of Kingsport. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a home in the 600 block of Double Springs Road shortly before 9 a.m., following reports of a welfare concern. Emergency Medical Services were first on scene and discovered both men deceased inside the residence.
Authorities said that at this time, no foul play is suspected, though the exact cause of death remains undetermined. The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
