ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — The Robeson County community is mourning the tragic loss of 17-year-old Alexis T. Gonzalez of Red Springs, who was fatally shot on Saturday, February 7, 2025.
At approximately 6:43 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a shooting on Truck Lane in Shannon. Upon arrival, they found Alexis unresponsive. Despite immediate efforts to save her, she was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.
Alexis is remembered as a bright, caring, and joyful young woman who brought warmth and happiness to those around her. Her life, though tragically cut short, made a lasting impact on her loved ones and the community.
