In Loving Memory of Amos Battle

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Wilmington community is mourning the tragic loss of 54-year-old Amos Battle, who was killed in a crash Monday morning, Jan. 26, on S. College Road.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, Battle was found lying in the roadway in the 300 block of S. College Road around 6:52 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities temporarily closed the area near New Centre Drive while responding to the incident, which is currently under investigation. No information has been released regarding potential charges.

Amos Battle was a valued member of the Wilmington community. Though details of his life beyond the incident are limited, those who knew him remember his presence, contributions, and the connections he shared with friends, neighbors, and the community. His sudden and tragic passing leaves a profound void for all who knew and cared for him.
