CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Va. — The community is mourning the tragic and suspicious loss of Andrew M. Jackson, 63, of Columbia, who was found deceased inside his home on the 1400 block of Columbia Road on Monday, January 26, 2026.
According to the Virginia State Police, preliminary findings indicate that Jackson died as a result of gunshot wounds. Troopers from the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Appomattox Field Office, responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
