In Loving Memory of Bianca Esquivel

ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Anaheim community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 24-year-old Bianca Esquivel and her unborn child, who were killed early Sunday morning in a suspected drunk driving crash.

According to authorities, Bianca and her boyfriend, Oscar, had just left In-N-Out to satisfy a pregnancy craving when a suspected DUI driver ran a red light and struck their vehicle. Bianca, who was expecting her second child, died at the scene, while Oscar survived but remains hospitalized. The couple leaves behind a 4-year-old son.

Bianca was described by family as a devoted mother, a homebody, and an aspiring accountant who loved spending time with her family. Her sister, Viri Esquivel, recounted being alerted to the crash by Bianca’s emergency SOS feature on her cellphone, which provided the exact location.

Oscar said outside UCI Medical Center, “We were laughing on the way back, we were just smiling. It was so fast. She screamed, she was like, ‘Oh my god.’ She was my best friend. We were already planning, buying clothes, getting ready for our baby.”

Anaheim police have arrested 24-year-old Daniel Ramos from Riverside on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Additional charges may be filed due to Bianca’s pregnancy.

Bianca’s death has left family, friends, and the community grieving a life lost far too soon. Her family has set up a GoFundMe to help cover expenses and support her loved ones during this devastating time.

Her memory, and the future she dreamed of for her family, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
