ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Anchorage community is mourning the tragic loss of Bonnie Wright, 67, whose death was confirmed following a days-long missing persons investigation.
On January 24, 2026, Anchorage Police issued a missing persons alert for Bonnie Wright, along with Crystal Hazlitt and two juveniles, John and Dahlia Trucks. The following day, January 25, police safely located Hazlitt and both juveniles. Sadly, Bonnie Wright remained unaccounted for, prompting an intensified search.
As the investigation continued, detectives developed information that led them to a residence in the 700 block of North Park Street. A search warrant was obtained and served, and on January 28, 2026, officers located Bonnie Wright deceased inside the residence. The Anchorage Police Department Crime Scene Team responded to carefully process the scene.
Authorities have stated they believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding her death. (APD Case Numbers: 26-2493 / 26-2974)
Bonnie’s passing has left loved ones and the wider community grieving a life lost far too painfully. At 67 years old, she was someone’s family member, friend, and neighbor — a woman whose absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
May Bonnie Wright rest in peace, and may comfort, strength, and healing surround her family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
