In Loving Memory of Briggs Pullin

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. — The Pittsylvania County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 7-year-old Briggs Pullin, who died following a tragic side-by-side crash Sunday evening.

According to Virginia State Police, the fatal crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on January 25 along Moorefield Bridge Road, roughly two-tenths of a mile south of Red Bud Lane. Authorities said a 2024 Can-Am Defender side-by-side was traveling south when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Briggs Pullin, riding as a passenger, was partially ejected during the crash. Emergency responders quickly transported him to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver, identified as 35-year-old Corey Michael Pullin of Danville, was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment. State police have indicated alcohol may have been a factor. Charges are pending, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Briggs’ untimely death has left his family, loved ones, and the Pittsylvania County community in profound grief. His young life, full of curiosity, laughter, and promise, was tragically cut short. Friends, neighbors, and community members are holding the Pullin family close in thought and prayer during this unimaginable loss.
