OSCEOLA, Ind. — The Osceola community is mourning the tragic loss of Christopher Jacks, 54, who died early Monday morning following a two-vehicle crash in St. Joseph County.
According to the St. Joseph County Police Department, officers were called around 6:35 a.m. on January 26 to a crash at the intersection of Lehman Street and Ash Road. Upon arrival, Christopher Jacks of Osceola was found deceased at the scene. In accordance with protocol, the St. Joseph County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) was activated.
Preliminary investigation indicates Jacks was traveling northbound on Ash Road in a Honda Fit when his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound Ford F-150. The driver of the Ford F-150 was not injured.
Authorities said weather conditions may have contributed to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
Christopher Jacks’ sudden passing has left family, friends, and the Osceola community grieving a life lost far too soon. As loved ones mourn, investigators continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.
