LENOIR, N.C. — The Lenoir community is mourning the tragic loss of 32-year-old Conner James Drum, who was fatally shot Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in the 1100 block of SW Tara Place.
Drum, a resident of Lenoir, was identified by authorities following the incident. Notification of his next of kin has been completed. His sudden and violent death has left family, friends, and neighbors grieving and searching for answers.
The suspect in the case, 34-year-old Preston Kelly Page of Granite Falls, has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held without bond. The investigation remains active, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
