FRANKLIN COUNTY, Miss. — With deep sorrow, family and friends remember Elmer Wallace, Jr., 80, of Louisiana, who tragically lost his life in a two‑vehicle crash on Highway 84 West on the evening of February 9, 2026.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Wallace was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe westbound when it collided with a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado traveling north on Highway 33, crossing Highway 84 West. He was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the collision. His passing has left a profound void for all who knew and loved him.
Elmer was known for his warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family and community. He cherished time spent with loved ones and was respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.
The passenger in Wallace’s vehicle and the driver of the Silverado were transported to a local hospital with injuries; their conditions have not been released.
