The Shreveport, Louisiana community is mourning the tragic loss of Evelyn Alexander, 75, who passed away Tuesday evening, February 3, 2026, following a pedestrian accident on Greenwood Road.
According to the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office, Evelyn was struck by a Shreveport Police Department vehicle in the 3500 block of Greenwood Road shortly after 7:00 p.m. The officer involved was responding to an active call for service at the time of the incident. Emergency responders arrived quickly and attempted life-saving measures, but Evelyn was pronounced deceased at approximately 7:32 p.m.
Authorities confirmed Evelyn’s identity through government-issued identification and fingerprint comparison.
