In Loving Memory of Everett Martin

DOVER, N.H. – The Dover community is mourning the loss of Everett Martin, 65, of Tilton, who passed away Friday after a tragic accident at a work zone on the northbound side of the Spaulding Turnpike near the 6th Street overpass.

Dover Fire and Rescue said that when they arrived at the scene, Martin, who was working on the site, was found unresponsive. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities report that another worker, while backing up a pickup truck at the job site, struck Martin. No charges have been filed.

Martin’s passing is a solemn reminder of the dangers faced by those who work to keep roads and infrastructure safe. Family, friends, and coworkers remember him as a dedicated worker and valued member of the community.

Traffic was temporarily blocked on the turnpike as first responders secured the area. The scene was cleared by the afternoon.

The Dover community extends its deepest sympathies to Everett Martin’s loved ones during this difficult time.
