In Loving Memory of Francesco Scutari

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, the Palmerton community mourns the passing of Francesco Scutari, 86, who tragically lost his life on Friday, February 13, 2026, in a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of North Best Avenue (S.R. 145) and Spruce Street in Walnutport.

Emergency responders, including the Walnutport Police Department, Northern Valley EMS, and Diamond Fire Company, were dispatched to the scene after reports of a crash with injuries and entrapment. Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Scutari unresponsive and heavily entrapped inside his vehicle. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been notified.

The crash remains under investigation by the Walnutport Police Department and the Northampton County Coroner’s Office, with assistance from Lehigh Township and Moore Township Police Departments. Fire departments from Slatington, Lehigh Township, and Palmerton assisted with traffic control and detours, while A1 Towing Service helped remove vehicles and clear the roadway.

Francesco Scutari will be remembered by family, friends, and the community as a cherished individual whose presence and spirit touched many lives. His sudden passing leaves a profound void, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
