The Memphis community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Jayden Wilson, age 14, who was tragically shot and killed early Tuesday morning in the Parkway Village neighborhood.
According to the Memphis Police Department, officers responded just before 2:45 a.m. to a shots fired call at a residence on Simsbury Drive, just east of Outland Road. The call was quickly upgraded to a shooting, and upon arrival, officers found Jayden suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Jayden was identified by his grandmother, who confirmed his identity. At this time, police have released no additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspects or arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
The loss of such a young life has left family members, friends, and the community devastated. Jayden’s death is a painful reminder of the impact of violence and the profound grief it leaves behind.
