In Loving Memory of Jim Boli

CASEY, Ill. — The Casey community is mourning the loss of Jim Bolin, Vice President of Bolin Enterprises, Inc. and the creative force behind the world-famous Big Things in a Small Town attractions. Bolin passed away Tuesday, January 27, after sustaining injuries during a snowmobile trip.

In a statement shared on Bolin Enterprises’ Facebook page, the company expressed deep sorrow over his passing.

“Our Bolin companies and the Casey community experienced a profound loss yesterday. Jim Bolin, Vice President of Bolin Enterprises and the visionary behind Big Things in a Small Town, passed away after sustaining injuries during a snowmobile trip,” the statement read.

The company described Bolin as a man of deep faith, unwavering devotion to his family, and genuine friendship to all who knew him, noting that he lived those values every day. The statement also acknowledged that his family is continuing to grieve the recent loss of his father and asked the community to keep them in their prayers for strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.

Leadership teams at Bolin Enterprises, Bolin Autos – Trucks – Tires, Bolin Fuel – Oil – Propane, T-Bilt Customs, and JJET Rental, Sales & Service said they remain committed to honoring Bolin’s legacy by continuing the vision and passion that shaped the companies, supported more than 250 employees, and positively influenced the Casey community.

Jim Bolin was widely recognized for transforming Casey into a destination through his Big Things in a Small Town project. He held several Guinness World Records, beginning with the World’s Largest Wind Chime, which was completed in the fall of 2011. His creativity and dedication brought international attention to the small Illinois town and left a lasting impact on residents and visitors alike.
